Beijing Contemporary Music & Arts Festival
"Beijing Contemporary Music & Arts Festival" tried to integrate the modern music culture into campus culture. This practice confirms to CMA's education principle of the arts education should integrate with society, market, international standard and the era.
"Beijing Contemporary Music & Arts Festival" has gone through 12 years, developed from the initial display of educational outcomes of CMA to a platform to a music events highlight the modern concept of national brand.
From the first festival was simple but full of passion in 1998 to the outcomes show achieved successful at the Renmin Grand Hall in 2005, the Sixth Festival & 2007 Tongzhou Canal International Music and Dance Performance Season became a culture event of Tongzhou District, Beijing Municipal. The Arts Festival was a sensation stir in the field of arts education and already became an important regional cultural brand, attracted some Chinese major media to report, such as CCTV, BTV, CETV, Tencent, Sohu, Netease and other major media.
Opening and Closing Ceremony of 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics.
More than 500 volunteers of CMA participated in the Opening and closing ceremony of 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics. In the Olympic show, the volunteers of CMA gave performances at 17 venues, feasted the spectators' eyes on the brilliant shows. Guan Zhe, a young singer and songwriter, is one of CMA's teachers. The song "Beijing, Beijing, I love Beijing" written by him was shown on the closing ceremony of Beijing Olympics. CMA's 150 volunteers participated in the show matrix "soaring" on the Opening ceremony of Paralympics. Their performances moved the world. The Animation "Fuwa's Olympic stories", takes the five mascots of Beijing Olympics as leading characters to tell the origin stories of Olympic Games. Hao Yigang, one of CMA's graduates, dubbed in its original background music for some episodes. The theme song of this animation was written by Chinese famous musician, Liu Huan. He invited CMA's Chorus, the Tadpole, to perform the song. Some students of CMA also participated in community service activities. Beijing Olympic organizing committee gave CMA "Outstanding Contribution Award" for the brilliant contribution they made in 2008 Beijing Olympics.
