This Secondary School is attached to Beijing Contemporary Music Academy. It is a vocational art school was authorized to grant diploma by Beijing Municipal Education Committee in 1999. The school comprises Music Comprehensive Department, Vocal Performance Department, Chinese Dance Department, Film & Television Performance Department, Modern Dance Department, and Ballroom Dance Department.
It is an international standard training base with 4,000㎡Performance Hall, 180 Standard Practicing Rooms, 18 Dance Practicing Rooms, Audio Studios, Video Studios, MIDI Studios, Double Keyboard Studios, Electric Piano Studios and Film & Television program production Lab, etc.
During the process of development, the school now has high-level faculty, while formed own education characteristics, strengthened the integration of tradition and modern, west and east, elegance and popular, art and science together. They established the channels for students to get employment or further education, recommending some excellent students directly to the culture institutions, or helped them to contract with some famous culture and entertainment companies or recording companies in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Part of the graduates admitted to the Sports Culture Arts School of Tianjin Sport University for their further studying. They also can choose to attend the joint program held by CMA and some well-known foreign universities.
